Intranasal Diamorphine

  • Contraindications
    • Base of skull fracture
    • Epistaxis
    • Diamorphine sensitivity

 

  • Dilute 10mg of Diamorphine powder with the specified vol. of normal saline

 

  • Instill 0.2ml of the solution into the child's nose (gives 0.1 mg/kg in 0.2ml)

25kg 0.8 mls
30kg 0.7 mls
35kg 0.6 mls
40kg 0.5 mls
50kg 0.4 mls
60kg 0.3 mls
