Emergency Medicine in Cork

Cork city has three Emergency Departments (EDs). Cork University Hospital (CUH) is the hub of your "Single Service from Multiple Sites". The new CUH Emergency Department (annual attendance 50,000) was opened in 2005. The five Emergency Medicine consultants and 50 WTE nursing staff are dedicated to delivering excellent emergency care. Our fellow medical staff (8 middle grade doctors and 10 SHOs) rotate to the other city sites.
